Flexa App Adds Regal To Offer Cryptocurrency Payments For Movies And More

Regal, a subsidiary of the Cineworld Group and operator of one of the largest and most geographically diverse theater routes in the United States, announced today that it has partnered with Flexa, a crypto payments network, to enable customers to pay with cryptocurrency .

Spread across nearly 7,000 screens in more than 500 theaters, Regal now helps customers pay for movie tickets, popcorn and more with a variety of cryptocurrencies – from Bitcoin and Ether to Dogecoin and Dai.

Through its partnership with Flexa, Regal enables payments with dozens of cryptocurrencies such as:

  • Cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), Litecoin (LTC) and Dogecoin (DOGE);
  • Digital Dollars and Stablecoins, including USD Coin (USDC), Dai (DAI), and Gemini Dollars (GUSD); and
  • Tokens including LINK, ATOM, Basic Attention Token (BAT) and more.

Flexa is working to help Regal facilitate the adoption of various assets across many different protocols (including the Lightning Network). Even in progress, when guests at Regal pay with Flexa-enabled apps, they will soon have the opportunity to link their loyalty account in the Regal Crown Club for special rewards.
