Electric cars don’t rely on gasoline like traditional vehicles, which means they need to be charged with electricity. But how much electricity? And where does it come from? The answers depend on the type of vehicle and its capabilities. Here are some tips for planning your next electric vehicle road trip.

How long it takes to charge your car before you leave?

One of the first things you need to find out is how long it will take your car to charge. This may vary depending on the make and model of your vehicle and the charger used.

Many electric cars come with a charging cable that plugs into a normal household socket and typically fully charges your vehicle in around 12 hours (please note, however, that charging times can vary widely). If you want to charge your car faster, you can purchase a high-voltage charger that, on some vehicles, fully charges in just four or five hours.
