Google honors Betty White with a tribute on her 100th birthday

If she were still alive, Betty White would be celebrating her 100th birthday today. On this occasion, Google celebrates the life of the actor. Enter White’s full name in the company’s search engine and you will be treated to a special graphic. “Thank you for being a friend,” reads the tribute, referencing White’s most famous role as rose petals fall from the top of the screen. White died of natural causes at the age of 99 December 31. White’s decade-long career has been filled with highlights, including starring roles on popular sitcoms like The Mary Tyler Moore Show and The Golden Girls. In 2010 she was also the hostess Saturday night live at the age of 88.
