Camera strap with quick release

“Modern cameras are truly incredible machines. Amazing resolution, lightning-fast autofocus, fingertip ergonomics and the ability to store thousands of high-quality images. Some even add features that were unimaginable a generation ago – GPS, face recognition, waterproofing, etc. Then why was my camera strap the reason for being unhappy with my setup and sometimes the reason for leaving my camera at home? I have tried all types of camera straps that I have found on the market but could not find any that fit my simple needs. Finally, after many iterations, the breakthrough came when I combined the “DNA” of a climbing carabiner, a surf line and a loop of a Dyneema kitesurf line.”

If the Quimera crowd funding campaign successfully meets its required fundraising goal and fulfillment proceeds smoothly, global shipping is expected to occur at some point or so. To learn more about the Quimera quick connect camera strap project, watch the promotional video below.

“Quimera uses glass-reinforced nylon hardware, silky nylon webbing, or real climbing rope. The 1.5mm diameter Dyneema pigtails can support over 200kg – stronger than steel. More than strong enough for even the heaviest camera setups, no matter what you’re shooting. Fix the braid on the clasp, screw the cap on. You are ready to go and shoot. “
