HP OMEN 25L — $800 which was $1,050
If you want gaming on a budget, then you can’t go wrong with a desktop that takes the top spot in our list of the best cheap gaming PCs on the market. The HP Omen 25L runs with a GTX 1660 Super, and while you may lose out on ray tracing, it’s a more powerful card than the RTX 3050. Given that Ray Tracing tends to be power-hungry and that budget GPUs don’t run them that well, it’s not a loss, especially for better performance which will ensure 144Hz at 1080p with good graphical settings. On top of that, you get an AMD Ryzen 5 5600G, which is a mid-tier CPU and will give you lots of room for productivity and gaming tasks. As for RAM, it’s the bare minimum at 8GBs, but luckily upgrading it with another 8GB should be easy and relatively cheap while also giving you a bit of a performance boost. Finally, you have a 512GB SSD, which is larger than we usually see and good enough to get you started, making this one of the better best gaming PC deals if you want something really budget-oriented.
CyberPowerPC Gamer Xtreme — $850 which was $1,100
That said, if you want the ray tracing, even if you aren’t going to use it often, the Gamer Xtreme runs has an RTX 3050. It’s not as good a card as the GTX 1660 Super, but it’s only about a 5% -10% difference, which amounts to a few frames here and there, so it’s not a bad choice. For the extra $50, you also get double the RAM at 16GB DDR4, which is the minimum we’d look for on a modern gaming rig, so that’s great. As for the CPU, it’s an Intel Core 5-12600KF, a similar mid-range CPU to the Ryzen 5 5600G, so you’re still getting a lot of versatility in productivity and gaming. Finally, there’s the 500GB SSD which should be more than enough, although if you feel you need a bit more, there are a few external hard drive deals you can grab.
CyberPowerPC Gamer Supreme — $1,200 which was $1,450
With the CyberPowerPC Gamer Supreme, we enter the mid-tier gaming PCs, as it runs an RTX 3070 under the hood. That means you’ll likely be able to run games at 2k with a 144Hz refresh rate with reasonable settings, and there are quite a few excellent gaming monitor deals that fit those needs. The AMD Ryzen 7 5700 is one of the best Ryzen CPUs on the market and gives you a lot of options when it comes to things like editing work and even streaming to Twitch or Youtube if you want to start doing that. As for the RAM, we’re still looking at 16GB of DDR4, but you get a much bigger 1TB SSD to work with, which should see it last at least a year or two before you run into storage limits. Overall, this is likely the best value deal if you want something budget-priced, but that can still pack a punch.
Alienware Aurora R13 with RTX 3080 Ti — $2,300 which was $2,830
This version of the Aurora R13 is essentially the same as the previous one, but the extra $200 buys you an RTX 3080 Ti instead of an RTX 3070 Ti, and we’re happy to say it’s an excellent deal. With the RTX 3080 Ti, you can start running 4k resolutions and possibly up to 144Hz refresh rate, although you will make a few compromises with graphics, which, at this resolution, isn’t too bad. Otherwise, you get the same Intel Core i7-12700KF and 16GB of RAM. The only downside is that Dell downgraded the storage to a 256Gb SSD, but you can always grab one of these best SSDs for gaming and upgrade it that way, which is a relatively minor fix. Overall, given that the RTX 3080 Ti is one of the best GPUs on the market besides the RTX 3090 and RTX 40 seriesthe latter of which we aren’t seeing on pre-builts yet, makes this one of the best gaming PC deals on the list.
