Community Highlights: 27th Edition

The 27th edition of the Home Assistant Community Highlights! Some interesting things have surfaced in our community that we thought were worth sharing.

But first I have an announcement. My internship is (almost) over and I’m happy that I passed and completed it with a good grade. That also means that this community highlight is the last of me as an intern, only time will tell when the next one will appear.

Would you like to share something for the next issue? About how to share.

Blueprint of the week

This week’s blueprint is that of bfranke1973who created a blueprint that you can use to receive a notification when a device loses connectivity to the network. Try it! Read more about it on the Community forum or install this automation in your instance by clicking the My button!

Love lock card

Preview of the love lock card

Have you ever accidentally turned on a light or switch? Then try this
Love lock card prepared by
CyrisXD. This allows you to create a blocked card and unblock it with a PIN code or a simple click on the card, for example.

Lovelace dashboard

This week we have a new Lovelace dashboard for the necessary portion of inspiration 😄 This time the one from swake88
who improves his dashboard
for use on a mobile device. If you want to learn more about it, check out the comments section on Reddit.

Would you also like your dashboard to be in the community highlight? Leave it on Reddit and maybe I’ll pick it up for the next issue.

Statistics tools

Home Assistant has a number of tools for working with statistics, but the question is, how can you best go about this? Carlos
wrote very well Manual on getting started and creating maps that use this data.

Do you have a tip for the next issue?

Did you see (or do) something great, interesting, unique, amazing, inspiring, unusual or funny with Home Assistant?

Also, don’t forget to share your creations with us on social media:

See you next edition!
