Amrit Singh, based in London, has developed a new Raspberry Pi accessory in the form of a versatile uninterruptible power supply – UPS HAT offers a 5V operating voltage Access to the GPIO header, the battery warning indicator for the I2C bus communication and a practical LCD display.

Early bird promise are now available for the unique project starting at around $ 31 or £ 23 (depending on current exchange rates) and offer a sizeable discount of approximately 42% off the suggested retail price while Kickstarter crowd funding is ongoing.
