TechCrunch Experts has a good start into 2022!

Growth marketing

(TechCrunch +) After speaking with marketing directors for a year, here’s my advice for CEOs: Rebecca Lynn, Co-Founder and General Partner of Canvas Ventures, wrote about the latest challenges facing growth marketing teams and shared some of the advice she has given and received from CEOs and marketing directors. Her post includes comments from Lauren Weinberg, CMO at Block, One Medical CMO Doug Sweeney, and others.

(TechCrunch +) 5 Growth Forecasts for Marketing for 2022: Growth Marketer Jonathan Martinez shares his growth marketing predictions for 2022 along with advice on incrementality testing, influencer marketing, video ads, and other tactics.

Speaking of the adtech space, Martinez says, “Of all the platforms that come out, I keep an eye on the ones that use artificial intelligence because they provide time-saving opportunities for growth marketers.”

(TechCrunch +) 4 trends that will determine e-commerce in 2022: Ben Parr, President and Co-Founder of Octane AI, is helping us with his ecommerce projections as we start into 2022. Parr looks ahead to what’s coming, including Web3 and NFTs, and offers his advice on how to run your startup should proceed.

Should online sellers plan to start stocking NFTs now? Parr noted that Shopify is testing a pilot program for Shopify Plus customers to help them sell non-fungible tokens through its platform, but he still suggests a wait and see approach:

“Unless you’re deep in Web3 land or have a budget to invest in branding experiments, you should probably wait for the technology to mature or just dip your toe in the water to get started,” Parr writes. “A great NFT start-up takes a lot more work than creating a JPEG and putting it on the blockchain.”

Transcript: “I came across some social posts 91Ninjas made for other startups and was impressed with their work. They had a very different approach to the social and I liked that. They are a team of good thinkers and they know how to tell brand stories and engage users. They’ll listen to you, understand the business goal, and then work backwards to come up with a custom strategy that can help you achieve your goals. Her logical approach, smooth execution, and attitude towards getting work set her apart. For startups, they are a good choice because of their way of working (just like your internal team) and their added value. “
