Denon DHT-S517 soundbar and wireless subwoofer system introduced

Denon has unveiled its latest soundbar, the Denon DHT-S517, and a wireless subwoofer system, the unit is Dolby Atmos certified and comes with Dolby Atmos 3D surround sound.

The Denon DHT-S517 soundbar and wireless subwoofer system will retail for £379 in the UK and €399 in Europe, with US pricing to be announced later.

Developed by the leader in AV receivers, the Denon DHT-S517 Soundbar with Dolby Atmos turns any TV into a home entertainment center. The Denon DHT-S517 uses a powerful 7-driver array consisting of tweeters and mid-range drivers for the left/right channels, a dedicated center channel and two upward-firing speakers. Working in tandem with the wireless subwoofer, this configuration delivers unmatched clarity, dynamics and cinematic spaciousness. Entertainment enthusiasts will appreciate an immersive, lifelike Dolby Atmos listening experience that encompasses an expansive soundstage, authoritative bass and astoundingly clear dialogue that’s perfect for the latest music, movies and games.

“As TV manufacturers have developed thinner screens with high resolution and excellent picture quality, speaker real estate has shrunk significantly, resulting in a loss of audio experience,” said Denon President Trip Randall. “With our latest Denon soundbar, you’ll instantly upgrade your home theater experience to enhanced 3D sound and will find your viewing experience taking exponential leaps forward for the better. It takes a heritage brand like Denon to deliver this kind of spectacular, immersive sound, and all with an easy-to-use setup that’s compatible with any TV.”
